Summary
Same sex classroom have positive and negative aspects. The most important thing to remember is ensuring what will be best for the students. The future of boys and girls may depend on their early academic years. It seems that some educators may lose sight of how important it is for students to have some form of stability. Knowing what to expect from schools systems in preparing students for the future is an asset to communities. As a student, I believe that I am able to learn in any positive learning environment whether it is same sex or co ed.
Research Question.
How will same sex classrooms affect relationships between girls and boys in the future?
Results Research
The futures of same sex classrooms are not know at this time. Many types of relationships develop in co-ed classrooms. The students in same sex classrooms may begin to label by their friends and family members in derogatory ways. Parents may teach their children to respect the opposite sex, but may not know how to teach their children to counteract alternative relationships that may occur from same sex classrooms. In same sex classroom some very close friends may develop, but it doesn’t seem to create skills for completion between males and females that exist in the world.
In my opinion, boys and girls who are the same classrooms learn to understand and except the difference between the sexes Learning to respect each other and knowing how to respect each other may limit some domestic violence issues. Some of the onset to aggressive tendencies among boys and girls may be minimized through association. When boys and girls go to school, they may experience problem solving skills and experience how to avoid physically fighting each other. According to Kristen Stanberry author of great schools, teachers need to have specific training to teach gender specific classes.
