The academic settings of a school are very important to learning. A teacher, who learns to implement lesson plans, encourages students to learn and is able to ensure that they meet the requirements for the next grade should be rewarded. The merit system may give teachers a goal to achieve. A teacher is paid based on their performance may strive for higher levels of excellency, or to receive financial incentives. The teacher, who is managing a group of students, must also be able to spark individual desires to do well.
