High amounts of academic reading and writing may take longer for non-native English speakers to learn (Professor2014). It is said that the English language is harder to learn due to our difficult grammar and sentence structures. Teachers that use visual materials in class helps students see how the language is portrayed. The incorporation of bright colors on note cards or power points show the student specific key points in the lesson. Repetition of these materials increase student memory and continues to keep them occupied in class.
Students that are learning English may fall behind in class participation, usually in the beginning weeks of class (Professor2014). They are unable to sustain themselves with other students that are stronger in the language. Teachers that begin to use small group work and reinforcing lessons will help the students. Breaking the students into pairs of two to four per group will have the English speaking and non-native English speaking students a chance to speak their opinions of the lessons. After the group work, reinforce the major parts of the lesson can help the students grasp the information.

Students from different nations and cultures have a difficult time learning English than other students. Since English is not their first language, it takes more time to grasp information given. In their cultures, how to address teachers with high amounts of respect in and outside the classrooms. Teachers, on the other hand, find it harder to understand how to help students learn quickly without stress. Incorporating the use of visual material, small group work, and reinforcing lessons will help student understand more.
